7/8/08 –
Effective Monday, July 14th, the I-5 shuttle schedules have been revised. Additional time has been added to the afternoon stops to accommodate increased traffic along J Street. Also, we have cancelled the 4th loop of the Central Route, beginning at 4th & J Street at 6:13 PM, due to low ridership. The new schedules will be in effect through Friday, July 25th, returning to the normal shuttle schedules on Monday, July 28th.

6/19/08 – The Fix I-5 schedule has been changed, and the project is now scheduled to last through July 23rd. The I-5 shuttle schedule will remain in effect until the project is completed.

5/23/08 – The downtown 4th & P shuttle stop will change to 5th and P (on 5th St at the RT stop) during the construction schedule.

The Fix I-5 Project is scheduled to begin the evening of May 30th and be complete by early morning on July 24th.

The special I-5 shuttle schedules will be in effect from Monday, June 2 through Friday, July 25th.

To improve our ability to serve North Natomas residents and employees:

  • We now have a shuttle hotline number with a recorded message of any news or updates during the construction. We will be monitoring the situation and be able to update the message with any news from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM daily.

    SHUTTLE HOTLINE: 916-552-0313

Notecards with the hotline number will be distributed by the end of May.

  • Caltrans has funded extra shuttle service on the Central and Eastside Routes, with two drivers operating four loops both in the morning and the evening.

  • With our service provider help, we will be monitoring the new traffic patterns that develop during the construction project and we will daily seek the fastest route between North Natomas and downtown.

  • All routes have extra time built in to accommodate expected traffic delays.

  • We have added an additional stop downtown at 9th and N Street on all three routes.

  • We have added an additional stop on the Central Route at East Commerce and New Market.

Although we have been working with Caltrans and our service provider to develop the best plan, please be patient and expect changes and delays throughout this construction period. Talk to your employers about flexibility in work arrival and departure times - since they are commuting on the I-5 corridor as well, they will understand the challenges of your commute!

All shuttle riders must be a member of the North Natomas Commuter Club and present a SMART Card to the driver to ride. Register or log in at http://www.sacregioncommuterclub.org. For more information on the shuttle service and ticket information, click here.
