Walk to School Trip Scanner Program
How the Program Works
1.) Walking to school counts if a student…
- Walks from home.
- Joins a Walking School Bus.
- Parks and walks from at least 3 blocks away.
2.) Trip Scanner Card
- All students that walk, bike, scoot or skate to school get a free Trip Scanner Card.
- Students earn virtual money called Boot Bucks every day they walk to school. Boot Bucks can be spent on cool prizes at the Boot Buck Store, set up on campus during the school year! The card must be registered to earn prizes.
- Keep the Trip Scanner Card and use it year after year.
- Have another question? We have an answer!
3.) Trip Scanner Card Benefits:
- Stay in the Loop: Parents can receive a text or e-mail when a student arrives on campus and scans in.
- Challenges: Students Use their Trip Scanner Cards to Participate in Walktober and the Spring Polar Bear Challenge.
- Stats: Monitor the impact students make by walking and biking to school.
